Carl Kaufman, founding Partner
Carl Kaufman has been recruiting in natural resources, energy and renewables since 2004 and has been servicing the market in North America since 2015.He is an expert within executive and targeted search, has held senior leadership roles with global, national and boutique firms and has been a trusted advisor to his clients in helping them attract and engage key talent to ensure they achieve business objectives.
Carl started his career in the staffing industry in Perth, Western Australia, building a practice focused on servicing Western Australia’s booming mining industry. He has held senior leadership positions with organizations servicing Mining, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Health Care, Education, Construction, Information Technology, and Disaster Response and Remediation. Carl has a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Western Australia.
Carl relocated from the beaches of Perth, Australia to Canada in 2015 and now lives on the footsteps of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary. As an outdoor enthusiast he is driven to be part of the solution when it comes to the climate crisis and sees the intersection of Renewable Energy, Mining, Electrification and Technology as being key to success. When Carl is not finding key leaders for progressive organizations you will find him in the mountains hiking or backcountry skiing or at a beach somewhere focusing on his passion for surfing, stand-up paddle boarding and the ocean.

Michael Persson, founding Partner
Michael Persson started his career in search and staffing in 2012 and has specialized search experience across various industrial sectors including mining, forestry, renewable energy and manufacturing.
A keen networker, he uses his passion for people to source highly qualified professionals and to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with companies. He is recognized as approachable, knowledgeable and results oriented. He ensures every effort is made to satisfy clients and candidates needs alike, establishing long-lasting relationships along the way. He has a deep understanding of the technical requirements of senior site-based roles and has visited remote forestry/mining operations across North America.
Mike holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Marketing from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where he was a student athlete for 4 years as a part of the Men’s Hockey Team. Mike is also a respectable golfer, where he regularly wins side bets from Shawn Overton on the course.

Shawn Overton, founding Partner
Shawn Overton is an experienced technical recruiter who has focused on the North American market. Known for building strong relationships and achieving results, he aims to provide the best and most transparent candidate and client experience.
Shawn’s experience is with site based, corporate and consulting roles where he has a deep network of Mine Engineers, Geologists and Technical Services talent. He is able to work with both client and candidates with a consultative approach to provide the best possible match.
He got his first look at the Mining industry while working in the microcap finance space where he was able to see and be a part of how Mining companies first get built.
Away from the office you will find Shawn golfing, playing tennis, hiking and travelling.

Carly Namysl,
Senior Search Specialist
Carly Namysl is a Senior Talent Acquisition Professional who started her career with a focus on Human Resource Management and Recruitment, having over 10 years of professional experience across several diverse industries and regions. Carly's foundations have resulted in her working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, with her work spanning from small businesses to global operations.
In her most recent years, Carly has been exposed to operations in industrial manufacturing and the natural resource sector, which felt like a natural progression given her roots growing up in the remote community of Thunder Bay, Ontario where these industries are some of the primary sectors stimulating the economy.
As someone who believes in a relationships first approach to business, Carly prides herself on achieving results through direct and honest communication, strong collaboration, and building credibility through a data-minded approach on people and resourcing strategies.
Carly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a specialization in Human Resources from the Okanagan School of Business in Kelowna, British Columbia. Carly is committed to life-long learning and staying current on best practices and industry standards. One avenue she stays up-to-date on her professional development is by remaining an active CPHR member and working towards the CPHR designation. In her spare time, Carly enjoys being outdoors mountain biking, snowboarding, fishing, camping, and spending time with her dog Oscar. When she is not outdoors, you can find her doing yoga, reading, or experimenting in the kitchen.

Reese Pribilsky began his career in the oil and gas industry before transitioning to staffing in 2021. Throughout his career, Reese has demonstrated a knack for identifying top-tier talent and connecting them with the right organizations. His experience extends across various industries, including Information Technology, construction, oil and gas and utilities.
Reese is known for his strong interpersonal and communication skills, which enable him to establish meaningful relationships with both clients and candidates. He is adept at assessing the unique needs of each client and tailoring staffing solutions to match, resulting in successful placements and long-term partnerships.
Reese has a business degree from Thompson Rivers University where he was a member of the Men’s basketball team. Outside of his professional life, Reese enjoys staying active through softball, basketball, running and golf as well as spending time with family and friends.

Theo Moore has over two decades of experience as a Search Consultant and Senior Account Manager, possessing a solid track record in recruitment, spanning multiple industries, verticals, and geographical regions. These range from Manager to SVP and C-suite levels. He has completed over 500 senior-level placements and spearheaded global recruitment campaigns for various clients, from SMEs to leading global corporations. Theo is known as a strategic and collaborative consultant. His proven business acumen and his passion for delivering customer satisfaction have proven him to be a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Theo started his career in London, before moving to Calgary in 2021. He has successfully grown 2 boutique recruitment firms in IT and Biopharmaceuticals and is now supporting the further growth of KPO staffing, representing the company in both Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy. In addition to his long-established Recruitment & Executive Search experience, Theo brings passion, energy, drive and a commitment to excellence. He is always available, and clients will value his honest, practical and plain-speaking approach, plus his ability to deliver under tight timelines and in delicate situations.
Outside of work, Theo is an avid Liverpool FC fan. He enjoys DJing, watching his son play basketball and volunteering for community projects. Since moving to Canada, he has embraced the Canadian lifestyle, developing a love for mountain biking, pale ale, and wing nights.
